I guess you could say that a career in sales was always in Clayne Liechty’s blood. Growing up working for his family’s business had Clayne learning the ropes by the time he was 12 years old. “Having worked in sales from a young age, it was either love it or leave it…and I love it – the opportunity to talk to people and learn about their business, and about them, is fun and exciting to me,” said Clayne.

Clayne credits the Virtanza sales training program with helping him slow down and really learn about his clients. “When you grow up in sales, it is easy to revert back to what you’ve always known,” said Clayne. “Virtanza gave me a fresh perspective on the sales process, understanding areas where I can improve and grow.” Clayne also utilized the Virtanza training tools to help him get more organized. “Once I was able to learn more about my client and what they find most valuable for their business, I was able to prioritize their needs and guide them in a more effective direction.”

Now a veteran seller, Clayne encourages those new to the field to stay organized and focused. “Utilize the sales processes and tools at your disposal, and don’t get so caught up in the sale that you forget to care about the people and businesses you serve.”
